What Beeple records about you, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.

1. Who is responsible

The controller of your personal data is the operator of the Beeple service:

Company identification is published on the Contact page before payments are switched on. Until then, write to support@beeple.net.

2. What we hold

• Your account — e-mail address, chosen language, and the sign-in record held by our identity provider (Keycloak). If you sign in with Google, we receive your e-mail address from Google, not your password.
• Your beekeeping records — apiaries, hives, visits, the values you record, photographs you take, and the text of what you dictate. This is the content of the service and belongs to you.
• Purchases — what you bought, when, and for how much. Your card details are handled by the payment gateway and never reach us.
• Technical records — the usual server logs (address, time, request) kept for security and fault-finding.

3. Why, and on what basis

We process your account and your records to provide the service you asked for (performance of a contract), purchase records to meet accounting and tax obligations (legal obligation), and technical records to keep the service secure (legitimate interest). We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling.

4. Voice, photographs and the AI

When you use cloud speech recognition or ask for advice, the relevant text — and, for cloud recognition, the audio of what you said — is sent to our AI provider (OpenAI) to be turned into text and answers. It is processed to answer you; our provider is contractually bound not to train models on it. Recognition can also run entirely on your phone, in which case no audio leaves the device: choose that in Settings. Photographs stay with your hive records and are not sent to the AI.

5. Who else sees it

Only the processors the service runs on: our hosting provider, the payment gateway (GoPay) for payments, the AI provider for the features above, the push-notification service for alerts, and e-mail delivery for account messages. Nobody else receives your data, and we never publish or share your hive records.

6. How long

Your records are kept for as long as your account exists. Delete your account and they are deleted with it. Purchase and accounting records are kept for the period Czech law requires (currently 10 years for tax documents). Server logs are kept for a few months.

7. Your rights

You may ask for access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, or a copy in a portable form, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interest. Write to support@beeple.net and we will answer within one month. If you believe we have handled your data wrongly, you may complain to the Czech Data Protection Authority (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů, uoou.gov.cz).

8. Cookies and local storage

The website uses no advertising or analytics cookies. The app and the web dashboard store your sign-in session and small preferences (language, theme) on your own device, because the service cannot work without them.
